HI! I really enjoy all of the channels, especially the British comedy and the crime and suspense channels. I noticed the audio on the 1940s Radio channel is garbled. The show title and episode title appear OK above the Listen Now button for 1940s Radio, but the audio is completely garbled. Thought I'd let you know if you're not aware. Thanks again for making the old radio shows available.

Hi Peter, We have fixed that problem for the time being and moving forward we are investing in a state of the art new server for the channels. The issue sometimes is that the monitoring system we have does not indicate any errors as the stream is up, but as you say garbled. Recently there was a power failure at the host location and I was unable to access the machine via remote desktop. In the near future I hope to provide a more reliable service. John

Hi Simon. British Comedy 2 is located on the following link http://tunein.com/radio/British-Radio-Comedy-UK-s257747/. I have written to Tunein AGAIN! to update the channel name. For now, just search or browse for 'British Radio Comedy UK' Hope this helps. John

Hi Stan, it was the extended version of the song (pnly joking) 🙂 Apologies, the American Comedy Channel had gone offline, what you heard was the last few seconds of the buffered stream looping. We know of the occasionally problem with this channel and shortly will be putting a brand new server in place which will prevent these issues. Regards John

I like ROK radio apart from the Clithero Kid which is aimed at 12 year olds. Just two points: 1). The announcers are difficult to understand and 2). It is frustrating to be told what us coming next and then broadcast something completely different or not scheduled. Otherwise, great.

Hi Vic. We will be addressing the announcers soon as we have found a great voice over artist who has offered his services. As for the Clitheroe Kid, lots of people like him, I understand that you and others may not, but we can't please all the people all the time. Thanks for commenting. John

Thanks for British Comedy 2 -- it gives me the chance to keep listening to good old British comedy while avoiding Jimmy Clitheroe and Hinge & Bracket !!! One suggestion: Could you display the current time in 24-hour-clock format? After all, the schedules are shown in 24-hour format,so that would make them tie up. Keep up the good work!

Hi John, while your American Comedy server is down you might want to check the program Can You Top This - "Service" episode. When it aired a few nights ago, it was severely distorted after about 30 seconds in. Maybe a fluke. Again, thank you so much for all of your hard work keeping this amazing programming going.

Hi Tony, thanks for your message. I know of the American Comedy Channel issues and there in no quick fix unfortunately without impacting the other channels. We will be upgrading the server in the near future and database so this should put things right. I will check the episode and see if it is corrupted or there was a problem with the encoder. Thanks for letting me know, appreciate it. John

Hi, thanks for your 1940s Radio London stream, which helps placate my 93yr old Mother who has dementia. Your service is much appreciated. Unfortunately, i must point out an error you made between 4pm-5pm UK time yesterday, Wednesday February 8th, 2017. The version of "You're Driving Me Crazy" by Charlie's Orchestra turned out to the Nazi propaganda version, being derogatory towards Churchill and "The Jews". I'm sure it must just be a case of it slipping out accidentally and i wasn't personally offended but i can imagine that there are people out there who could be upset by this material. i hope this post will be helpful to you for future reference. many thanks, again, for your service.

Thank you for your work on getting American Comedy back up. It's kind of like went the power in your house goes out. It's then that you cry out loud, "oh why did I take you for granted?!" Thanks for all of your hard work. When you go home tonight, announce to all "Behold a superhero, I have restored American Comedy throughout the world"

Hi It can never be more than a approximate indication at the top of each hour due to many factors. the main one being that players and apps are buffering the audio stream, even though we allow for that (We play the Pips 40 seconds ahead of the hour) your chosen listening device can still effect the accuracy together with network lag etc. If you want a truly accurate time check you need a Short Wave set tuned to the BBC World Service 🙂

I appreciate the programming on all the ROK channels and listen through the night regularly. I know they are all broadcast in mono and therefore do not expect to hear stereo. However, the way ROK generate mono is to broadcast only one channel of the original stereo instead of combining left and right together. This affects programmes recorded in stereo with wide separation like ISIHAC this morning from 1981 which causes Barry Cryer to be almost inaudible. All stereo music played is ruined, including A Taste of Honey at the top of every hour on Comedy One where the final piano notes sound as if they are outside the studio! Can this be rectified please?
